It’s time to control your
urge urinary incontinence.

Local research study. Outpatient procedure.
No cost to participate.

Urge Urinary Incontinence (UUI) affects millions of men and women of all ages, and can impact nearly every aspect of daily life - from work performance, to family life, to social interactions. UUI symptoms can vary from person to person, but typically include:

  • Urgency – An abnormal or sudden need to pass urine that is very hard or impossible to ignore
  • Leakage – Accidentally leaking urine immediately following or during an urgency episode
  • Frequency – Urinating 8 or more times over a 24-hour period

Right now, doctors at select centers in the US are conducting a new clinical study that may be able to help. The study is for the INTIBIA™ System - an investigational device designed to reduce urinary leakage through an outpatient procedure.

The INTIBIA™ System for UUI

What causes Urge Urinary Incontinence (UUI)?

When the bladder system is working properly, nerves that control the bladder sense that the bladder is getting full, telling you it’s time to urinate. However, in people with UUI, these bladder nerves are overactive, telling you it’s time to urinate before your bladder is full. Your bladder muscle follows by contracting too early, causing the bladder to empty before it should.

What is the INTIBIA System?

The INTIBIA System is an investigational device designed to reduce urinary leakage and improve UUI symptoms. INTIBIA is a small implant that is placed just above the ankle, near the tibial nerve through an outpatient procedure. The tibial nerve communicates with nerves that control bladder function. Once placed, INTIBIA delivers gentle pulses to the tibial nerve to help calm the bladder.

The INTIBIA System is currently being offered at select centers in the U.S. through a new clinical research study. If you qualify and choose to join the study, you will receive the INTIBIA System and all study-related care at no cost.

Why Participate?

If you’re living with Urge Urinary Incontinence (UUI) and have not had success with other treatments, you may be eligible for a new clinical research study. The study is for the INTIBIA™ System - an investigational device designed to reduce urinary leakage and improve UUI symptoms through an outpatient procedure. If you qualify and choose to join the study, you will receive:

  • Evaluations of your UUI condition from a local physician
  • The INTIBIA procedure and all study-related care at no cost
  • Compensation for your time and travel to attend periodic follow-up visits
